What we collect

When you sign up as a candidate, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, academic background, field of research, and anything else you choose to put in your profile.

When you apply as a company, we collect your name, work email address, company details, and a description of the roles you are hiring for.

When you visit the site, our servers record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you opened.

How we use it

We use your information to run the directory: to review sign ups, to show profiles to the other side of the platform, and to contact you about your account.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Who we share it with

Candidate profiles are visible to companies accepted onto the directory, and company listings are visible to accepted candidates. That exchange is the service.

We also rely on a small number of providers to host the site, store data, and send email. They act on our instructions and only for those purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete it, we will do so within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records by law.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or third party tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or the EU, you can also object to how we process it and complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email.
