Who this is for

We are curently witnessing both a large supply and demand for top academic talent in many spheres of tech, and specifically in research startups and AI safety organisations.

Jether has the sole goal of facilitating the influx of researchers and academic talent into high impact, early stage AI research and safety labs.

With recent progress of frontier models and the impact they are having on academia, particularly following the October 7 release of hundreds of solutions to significant open math problems by OpenAI, it seems clear that possibly one of the largest areas of impact that early career researchers can work in is building and monitoring new frontiers of models.

Unfortunately, small teams sometimes lack the resources to hunt for the best researchers who are relevant to their domain, and candidates may have a hard time in finding companies with as yet low visibility who are focused on building rather than marketing.

Now more than ever, there is a clear need for highly domain specific expertise, both in understanding which problems to tackle next, and in choosing how to approach them. Now is the time to stop writing and to start building.
